ABOUT THE COLLECTION

Loosely translated as “my life’s destiny,” أقدار عمري, this collection is rooted in the spirit of a modern Arab traveler—a nomad of culture and curiosity. Inspired by a conceptual odyssey across the Middle East, Europe, and North America, the narrative echoes the legacy of Zaid Farouki’s ancestors at the height of exploration in the 13th century. It is a story of movement and return—of one who journeys outward only to arrive more deeply within.

He returns not just transformed, but enlightened—armed with the knowledge of woven traditions, textile alchemy, and the art of cross-cultural fusion.

“In shooting the collection’s lookbook, I felt an undeniable intimacy with the pieces,” Zaid shares. “To honor the authenticity of that connection, I chose to appear alongside my brother—neither of us trained models, but rather storytellers in motion. This collaboration with MINI Cooper felt like a natural extension of our shared ethos: modern citizens of the world in pursuit of meaning, beauty, and the thrill of the unknown.”
