The Woman, Life, Freedom Ensemble

$7,000.00

On a night dedicated to strength and solidarity, the red carpet witnessed a powerful collaboration between Egyptian-American celebrity stylist Engie Hassan and designer Zaid Farouki, culminating in The Woman, Life, Freedom Ensemble. Created for and inspired by Iranian-American fashion industry leader Behnaz Ghahramani—known for her transformative roles at Ralph Lauren, Gucci, and Stuart Weitzman and now CEO of Brother Vellies—the ensemble stood as a tribute to the brave women of Iran fighting for their freedom.

A striking union of art and symbolism, the look featured a deconstructed white suit blazer paired with a draped, hand-painted fabric skirt. The destruction of the blazer was deliberate—a metaphor for the attempts to tear down Iranian women as they rise, resilient and unbroken. The flowing fabric of the skirt, painted by Iranian artist Nima Mirahmadi, bore the powerful slogan "Woman, Life, Freedom" in bold red strokes, symbolizing the voices of women echoing across borders. The skirt’s fluidity held the fractured blazer together, representing women as the very fabric of society, uniting and mending what has been broken.

This ensemble is a testament to the collaborative vision of Farouki, Hassan, and Ghahramani, fusing fashion and activism into a wearable work of art. It transforms the red carpet into a platform for storytelling, inspiring change, and celebrating the unyielding strength of women worldwide.
